This series of events, Celebrating the Art of Maki Horanai, is proudly presented by Artemus Events and hosted by Guy and Annette Lewington in their beautiful private home, located at the award-winning sustainable development of The Ecovillage, Currumbin Valley, Gold Coast.

Gold Coast (Mount Tamborine) based painter, designer and ceramic artist Maki Horanai, explores the whimsical and the magical, the beauty in ‘the small’ and ‘the quiet’. Her works depict the delicacy and intimacy of hope, fear, loss, love and renewal. With breathtaking attention to detail, each piece explores what it is that makes us truly human and her sublime depiction of the human experience invites us to question our spirituality, our compassion and our humanity.

Maki Horanai’s works have been exhibited and collected both Australia-wide and internationally and she has amassed a loyal following for her beautiful artWith the sole purpose of sharing the extraordinary vision of this sublime painter, this series of events has been curated to celebrate, to be inspired by and to complement the art of Maki Horanai. This unique series is an opportunity for the public to experience art, music, food and wine – with renowned artists, musicians and ‘foodies’ – in a very intimate and personal way.
